With
summer 2013 well and truly on its way The Rhu Glenn Country Club Hotel is
gearing up for a busy and exciting summer ahead with a variety of events and
performers which are sure to delight all patrons. We still host our dance
classes every Tuesday night from 8 till 10pm. Within these classes there are no
partners required and dancers can enjoy themselves while learning a new talent,
be it for a special occasion or as a hobby that allows individuals to meet
socialise and get fit in a relaxed environment.
For
this theme, dance nights are still a regular occurrence here every Wednesday night.
These nights are hosted by Tommy Carroll and are continuing to be a popular treat
for everyone involved who was to learn a new dance or show off their skills
which the learned in our Tuesday classes! Customers often use their new dancing
skills to attend our regular Saturday night entertainment in the Sliabh Mor
Lounge. Coming up with have Pat Birmingham on the 25th of May and
Theresa and the Stars on the 1st of June. As it is a bank holiday
weekend, we are hosting a very special night on Sunday the 2nd of June.
We have 4 hours of dancing to two top bands; Dave Lawlor & Band and Pat
Hayes & Band. This surely promises to be a fantastic way to spend a bank
holiday weekend.
Our
carvery lunches are continuing to go down well with all customers; our lunch
times are 12 till 3pm. We serve a variety of meals with daily specials that are
sure to please. As we are all aware Fathers Day is quickly approaching, why not
treat the special man in your life with one of our carvery lunches, or treat
him to a night away! That will surely make it a Fathers Day he won’t forget!
As
June is slowly but surely getting ever so closer, Waterford is hosting the Day
Tripper Festival from the 28th of June till the 30th of June,
with headlining acts such as; Imelda May, Madness and The Coronas. Luckily
though we are currently running a competition on our Facebook page that will
allow one person and a friend to stay in our hotel the weekend of these events!
Not only that but that weekend we are hosting a “Last Chance Debs”. This is in
aid of The William Winder Rainbow Foundation. Such a great cause, this event
will fund their 2013 climb of Kilimanjaro.
